SARAH WHITING

Bodywork therapist

 

 

Sarah began her bodywork studies in 1989 studying Chinese Medicine, Shiatsu & Ki Development at The British School of Oriental Therapy & Movement in London for 1 year. Then in 1992 qualified with an ITEC diploma in Anatomy Physiology & Body Massage followed by an 

Advanced Massage & Remedial Techniques course in 1993, both at The West London School of Therapeutic Massage.

 

In 2000 Sarah began studying Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, yoga & meditation in a small hill tribe village in northern Thailand

with Asokananda, founder of the Sunshine Network. This was followed by Asokananda’s Advanced Thai Yoga Massage course in London

and spending the next 4 winters back in the tribal village studying and assisting in teaching Thai Yoga Massage and Yoga.

She also studied and assisted courses in India and Italy. During this period she completed a Yoga Therapy Intensive course in Thailand. 

In 2014 Sarah trained in Advanced Thai Abdominal Massage and recently in 2017 Thai Abdominal Massage Level 2

and Thai Massage Sen Line Intensive with Felicity Joy.

 

In 2002 Sarah completed an introductory course in Ayurvedic Medicine and Massage with Sri S.V Govindan at

Sree Sankara Ayurvedic Hospital in Kerala, South India.

 

Whilst in the UK from 2001 Sarah began studying CranioSacral Therapy at The West London School of Therapeutic Massage,

completing modules I, II & III and gained a Practitioners Level Diploma in 2007. Her knowledge was further

developed studying CranioSacral Therapy levels I & II with The Upledger Institute in 2008 & 2009.

 

In 2005 Sarah completed modules I & II in Kinesiology (Touch for Health).

 

She is a qualified Gemmologist and a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (FGA).

 

Sarah currently works between London and Henley-on-Thames and is part of the voluntary ‘Be Well’ organisation

which offers complimentary treatments in Henley-on-Thames where donations go to a local charity.
